5 Voice Notes. One Week.

5 Contacts. This Week.
01 — The Format

Why Voice Beats Text

A text sits in a thread with forty other texts. An email sits in an inbox that's already been triaged and half-ignored before it's even opened. A voice note doesn't compete the same way — it shows up as something a real person took thirty seconds to actually say, not type.

That's the whole case for this week's task. Not a new platform, not a new tool. Just a message that sounds like you instead of reading like a template.

The goal is not to reach more people. / The goal is to sound like a person again.

02 — The List

Who to Send To

Five is small enough to actually finish this week. Pick from the people who'd genuinely be glad to hear from you — not a cold list.

🔥

A Warm Lead Gone Quiet

Someone who was engaged a few weeks ago and hasn't responded since. A voice note re-opens the door without feeling like a follow-up email.

🏠

A Past Client

No ask attached — just a genuine check-in. This is the relationship maintenance that referrals are actually built on.

🤝

A Referral Source

A quick thank-you or update for someone who's sent you business before, delivered in a way that feels personal rather than transactional.

👋

A New Contact

Someone you just met — an open house visitor, a new sphere connection. A voice note makes you memorable before the second conversation even happens.

03 — The Message

What to Actually Say

Keep it under a minute. You're not delivering a pitch — you're delivering a moment of actual attention. A simple structure works for almost any recipient: say their name, reference something specific to them, and close with one easy way to respond.

Why This Works

Voice carries tone in a way text can't fake. A slightly imperfect, unscripted voice note reads as more trustworthy than a polished paragraph — it's proof a real person is on the other end, not a template with your name swapped in.

04 — Do This

Your Action Item This Week

  1. Pick your 5. One warm lead, one past client, one referral source, and two more from your sphere.
  2. Block 15 minutes. That's roughly all five notes will take once you stop overthinking the wording.
  3. Record without a script. Say their name, say one specific thing, keep it under a minute.
  4. Send from whatever they use. Instagram DM, text, WhatsApp — wherever you already talk to them.
  5. Don't follow up immediately. Let the note do its job. Reply naturally when they respond.

Five Minutes of Talking. A Week of Standing Out.

Everyone in your sphere is getting texted and emailed at all day. Almost none of them are getting a thirty-second voice note that actually sounds like you.
