Meet Lydia Batiste — Senior Loan Originator

With 38 years of professional experience spanning the insurance and mortgage industries, Lydia Batiste brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Lydia began her career in the insurance industry at a young age as an Administrative Assistant. Through hard work, dedication, and continued professional growth, she advanced through a variety of positions and ultimately became a Reinsurance Claims Director. After relocating from Boston, Massachusetts to Louisiana, Lydia began her mortgage career as a Loan Officer Assistant and Processing Assistant before advancing to Loan Officer and ultimately Senior Loan Officer. She now brings 21 years of mortgage industry experience to her role as Senior Loan Originator with Efinity Mortgage.

Lydia works with a wide range of home financing needs, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, first-time homebuyers, investment properties, refinances, and more. She serves clients throughout Louisiana, while Efinity Mortgage is licensed in multiple states across the United States.

One of Lydia’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people and make the mortgage process easier to understand. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is especially passionate about serving the Spanish-speaking community and helping more families achieve the opportunity of homeownership.

Lydia believes that obtaining a mortgage should not feel confusing or overwhelming. She takes the time to explain the process in clear, easy-to-understand terms, educate her clients about their options, and look for solutions that help put them in the best position to reach their homeownership goals. Outside of her career, Lydia enjoys being active in her community and participating in the many wonderful festivals Louisiana has to offer. She also loves experiencing Louisiana’s incredible variety of food and culture. Having relocated from Boston to Louisiana, she has developed a deep appreciation for the people, traditions, and communities that make Louisiana such a special place to call home.
